It is very difficult when you have material needs and family to feed to avoid being caught up in all these shenanigans
There is very little room for choice if any
Most of the time you can only survive by turning a blind eye or just playing along.
Who does not wish to live well with a car, nice house, good clothes, suffient food and quality schools for the children.
Whose success and achievement is not defined in terms of capitalist values.and criteria.
I know all that is said about human agency and how we all free to make choices.
But this condones the overwhelming impact of the dominant economic system that makes almost everyone desire to have money and everything that money can buy
We seem to be dealing with the EFFECTS and not the CAUSE
The capitalist economic system, by its nature, will always promote bribery, corruption, injustice and inequality.
Capitalist values – with its cynical philanthropic elements – are essentially about selfishness, greed, self-interest and profit above the interests of the people.
I don’t think all these processes will take us any far.
Frankly, these are just a distraction to waste time and money.
You cannot solve a problem by dealing with its effects and not the causes.
As Malcolm X said: you cannot expect a chicken to lay a duck golden egg.
It does not have it in its system.
